"Creative Leasing Terms"
All you need to know to get a better Deal

Leasing terms can sometimes seem strict, expensive, and non-negotiable. However, leasing terms can be more flexible than some may know.

In this session you will leave with a clear understanding of how much negotiating power you have to get the best deal. You will be provided a list of what background information you will need, creative leasing terms, alternative negotiating techniques and an action plan to negotiate the best terms with the landlord/owner. The actionable information you will take from this session includes:

  • Specific terms and options to discuss/present to a landlord when you find a location
  • Handouts with all the information/terms you will need to negotiate with a landlord
  • Worksheet on leasing vs. purchasing where you can plug in your numbers to see which is a better deal for you
  • Pricing and Location considerations and what is important to to you and your budget
  • A free comparable market analysis in a location such as Rockville, Germantown or Silver Spring for retail, office or industrial properties

If you are in the process of renegotiating your lease with your current landlord, find out what the landlord wants to hear which will land you that lower rate.

In addition you will be introduced to a number of resources to assist you in your move to your new location. Plus as an added incentive to attend any individual who attends will also receive a free comparable market analysis of property in a location you are interested finding more about.

Montgomery Innovation formed in July, 2009, dedicated to assisting growing and emerging businesses in Montgomery County, Maryland find ways to make that growth less painful.

Most small businesses fail.  We believe in small business as the backbone of our economy, so want to see that change to something like, “few small businesses fail.”

We’re only getting started, but we’re already sponsoring our first seminars in conjunction with local area service providers that have focused efforts that support the small business.
